Yukiko Okubo(Violin)

Yukiko Okubo entered Toho Gakuen Music School for Children, Sengawa at the age of three and started playing violin at the age of five.
 After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Tokyo University of the Arts, she is currently a third-year student at the same university. She has studied under Mami Teshigawara, Sunao Goko, Takako Yamasaki, Natsumi Tamai, and Masafumi Hori.
 She has won top prizes in numerous competitions, including: 2nd Prize in the 74th All Japan Student Music Competition, 1st Prize in the 13th International Junior Music Competition, 1st prize in the 44th All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition and 1st prize and 5 special awards at the 24th Osaka International Music Competition.

 In 2019, she passed the audition for master class students by Leonidas Kavakos and took lessons in Athens. In 2021, she was selected by the Tibor Varga Foundation (Switzerland) as one of "14 promising world violinists under 18 years old". She has participated in the Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy Okushiga 2023, performed at the Chofu International Music Festival and the Kitakyushu International Music Festival, and appeared in the dedication performance of the Japan National Orchestra in honor of the 1250th anniversary of the founding of Todaiji Temple.
