which he performed a large number of solo works from the repertoire for trumpet, including Hans Werner Henze’s Requiem, Richard Ayres’ NONcerto, Luciano Berio’s Sequenza X, Yan Maresz’s Metal Extensions and Metallics, Yann Robin’s Doppelgänger, Liza Lim’s Wild Winged One by at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Philharmonie de Cologne, Hamburg, Tokyo, Moscow and Berlin. He also notably performed the « sonic eclipse » cycle by Matthias Pintscher at the Berliner Festspiele, Tokyo Suntory Hall and the Kölner Philharmonie.
He has made a number of albums, including several 20th century concertos for trumpet and orchestra, released by Cristal Records, Maguelone and Corelia, as well as the album Directions, released on the Klarthe label, in which he performs works by Giacinto Scelsi, Toru Takemitsu, Peter Maxwell Davies...
Clement Saunier teaches at the Conservatoire de Lyon (CNSM). He plays the trumpets Confluence by Antoine Courtois (Paris) that he designed.
