Camillo Radicke(Piano)

Born in Dresden the pianist Camillo Radicke got his musical education in his home town by Regina Metzner, Amadeus Webersinke and Arkadi Zenziper.
He won First Prizes in the International Piano Competitions from Palma de Mallorca (F. Chopin) 1990, Athens (Maria Callas) 1992 und Vercelli (G. B.Viotti ) 1992.

Since then he has given numerous concerts as Soloist and Chamber Musician in nearly all European countries, the Middle East, Cuba, South America, Japan, Korea and in the United Arab Emirates.

He was guest at international festivals like Salzburger Festspiele, Klavierfestival Ruhr, Beethoven - Fest Bonn, Chopin - Festival Duszniki, Edinburgh Festival, BBC Lunchtime Concerts London, Festival Great Irish Houses, Festival Costa Verde, Al Bustan Festival Beirut, Haydn - Festspiele Eisenstadt, Rheingau-Festival, Dresdner Musikfestspiele, MDR - Musiksommer and at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg.

In concerts with orchestras like Dresdner Philharmonie, Staatskapelle Dresden, Stuttgarter Phil-harmoniker, Münchner Kammerorchester and the RAI Symphony Orchestra Turin, he worked together with conductors like Marek Janowski, Gerd Albrecht, Michel Plasson, Juri Temirkanow, Tamas Vasary, Bernhard Klee, Ludwig Güttler, Jörg-Peter Weigle and Peter Schreier.

He played in concert halls like Scala di Milano, Metropolitan Opera New York, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, City Opera Hall Tokio, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Berliner Philharmonie, Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna,Tonhalle and Opera Zürich, Mozarteum Salzburg, Philharmonie Cologne, Herkulessaal München,Teatro de Zarzuela Madrid, Grand Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Cité de la Musique and Opera Palais Garnier in Paris, Wigmore Hall London, Megaron Athens, Sala Prestes Sao Paolo, Teatro Municipal Santiago de Chile, Dubai Community Theatre, Opera La Monnaie Brussels, Grand Theatre Geneva, Konzerthaus Berlin, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Semperoper and Frauenkirche in Dresden and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

On the list of singers with whom Camillo Radicke has performed as an accompanist, there are names like Peter Schreier, Olaf Bär, Juliane Banse, Ruth Ziesak, Piotr Beczała, Marlis Petersen, Sondra Radvanovsky and René Pape.

In the Mozart Year 2006 he performed all 26 Sonatas for Piano and Violin by W. A. Mozart together with Wolfgang Hentrich (1. Concertmaster of the Dresdner Philharmonie). A selection of them have been published on CD.

Also in 2006, Camillo Radicke was jury member of the ARD Music Competition in Munich.

With the CD Label “Harmonia Mundi” Camillo Radicke recorded the Liebeslieder-Walzer by Brahms and Spanische Liebeslieder by Schumann for 4 voices and piano for 4 hands together with Marlis Petersen, Stella Doufexis/Anke Vondung, Werner Güra, Konrad Jarnot and Christoph Berner. Since 2007, the Ensemble performs this award winning productions in many concerthalls across Europe.
