ロベルト・フロンターリ(バリトン )
当代最も重要なバリトン歌手のひとりと言われている。オペラ歌手としてのキャリア初期には、ロッシーニやベッリーニ、ドニゼッティのベルカント役に専念していたが、後にヴェルディ作品、さらにプッチーニやヴェリズモの役にも挑戦するようになった。1990年代初頭、ニューヨーク・メトロポリタン歌劇場の《愛の妙薬》でアメリカにデビュー、《テンダのベアトリーチェ》でミラノ・スカラ座にデビューした。

Roberto Frontali is considered one of the most important baritones of his generation. At the beginning of his career he dedicates to Rossini’s, Bellini’s and Donizetti’s belcanto roles but later on to Verdi’s repertoire and just lately tackles with Puccini and Verismo.

ナポリのサン・カルロ劇場で《オテロ》イヤーゴに首尾よくデビューし、トリノのレージョ劇場でも同役を演じる予定。また、ロンドンのロイヤル・オペラ・ハウス、ローマ歌劇場、東京の新国立劇場で再びスカルピアを演じるほか、ニューヨークのメトロポリタン歌劇場でフランコ・アルファーノ《シラノ・ド・ベルジュラック》に出演する。さらにダニエレ・ガッティ指揮による２つの重要な役も控えており、パリで《マクベス》タイトルロール、フィレンツェで《ペレアスとメリザンド》ゴローを演じる。
