国際的なレベルで引く手あまたのドイツ出身のバリトン歌手。2022年夏のバイロイト音楽祭では、新制作《ワルキューレ》初演の第3幕に、急きょヴォータン役として代役出演。シーズンその後は、《神々の黄昏》グンターでも成功を収めた。
Michael Kupfer-Radecky(Baritone)
The German baritone Michael Kupfer-Radecky is in demand on an international level. At the Bayreuth Festival in summer 2022, he stepped in at the last minute as Wotan in the third act of the première of WALKÜRE. Later in the season he also had his successful debut as Gunther in GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG.

これまでの主要な出演としては、ドレスデン音楽祭で《レオノーレ》ピツァロ、東京・新国立劇場でカタリーナ・ワーグナー演出による新制作《フィデリオ》ピツァロ、ミュンヘンのバイエルン国立歌劇場とロンドン・コヴェントガーデンのロイヤル・オペラ・ハウスで《フィデリオ》ピツァロ、マンハイムで新制作《さまよえるオランダ人》タイトルロール等がある。16年にはすでに《ニュルンベルクのマイスタージンガー》ハンス・ザックスで、パリのオペラ・バスティーユ、ミラノ・スカラ座、ミュンヘンのバイエルン国立歌劇場、メルボルンのオペラ・オーストラリアにデビューし、大成功を収めている。幾度か《ラインの黄金》ヴォータンを歌った後、ブダペスト国立歌劇場に《ワルキューレ》ヴォータンで登場。続いて、ストックホルムとベルリンで《サロメ》ヨカナーン、ハノーファー州立劇場で演奏会形式の《エディプス王》クレオン、アムステルダム・コンセルトヘボウでシュレーカー《烙印を押された人々》アントニオット・アドルノ等を務めた。

Important stages in his career include Pizarro / LEONORE at the Dresden Festival, Pizarro in a new production (directed by Katharina Wagner) of FIDELIO at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, Pizarro / FIDELIO at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, as well as the title role in a new production of DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER in MANNHEIM. Already in 2016, he made his successful debut as Hans Sachs / DIE MEISTERSINGER at the Opéra de Paris/Bastille, at La Scala in Milan, at the Munich State Opera and at the Australian Opera in Melbourne. He presented himself as WALKÜRE-Wotan at the Budapest State Opera after having previously sung RHEINGOLD-Wotan on several occasions. This was followed by Jochanaan / SALOME in Stockholm and in Berlin, Kreon in a series of concert performances of OEDIPUS REX at the Staatstheater Hannover and Antoniotto Adorno in Schreker's DIE GEZEICHNETEN at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

At the Staatstheater Weimar, Michael Kupfer-Radecky will be appearing in Schoeck's PENTESILEAand with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra under Patrick Hahn as RHEINGOLD-Wotan, WALKÜRE-Wotan and SIEGFRIED-Wanderer (in concert), while Schönberg's GURRE-LIEDER and concert performances of DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER are scheduled later at the Japan Spring Festival.
