Lenneke Ruiten(Soprano)

Lenneke Ruiten studied flute and singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Bavarian Theatre Academy in Munich. 2002 she won several prizes at the International Vocal Competition in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Today she’s one of the most demanded sopranos of our time with an outstanding international career in concert and opera.

Concerts with Emmanuelle Haïm with the Orquesta Nacionales de España (May 2022) and the role of Maguerite in Meyerbeer's Hugenots at La Monnaie - Brussels (June 2022). The soprano worked with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Musiciens du Louvre, Le talens lyriques, the Orchestra of the 18th century, the English Baroque Soloists, the Monteverdi Choir, the Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, the Academy of ancient music, Berlin, the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, the Staatskapelle Dresden and the Symphonieorchester of the Bavarian Radio with conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, John Eliot Gardiner, Antonello Manacorda, Christophe Rousset, Christian Thielemann, Marek Janowski, Helmut Rilling, Frans Brüggen, Ton Koopman, Marc Minkowski,
Emmanuelle Haïm and Iván Fischer.
Her discography includes MOZART CONCERT ARIAS, BACH CANTATAS, CARMINA BURANA, MÉLODIES FRANÇAISES etc.

One of Lenneke’s great passions is for Lieder. After taking lessons in German and French songs and poetry from great Lieder singers including Elly Ameling, Robert Holl, Hans Hotter and Walter Berry, she has gained a substantial reputation as a Lied singer and gives recitals with pianists Thom Janssen and Rudolf Jansen. She has sung Lieder at Wigmore Hall in London, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, for the Brooklyn Friends of Chamber Music, at the Kaisersaal Frankfurt, the Palais de l’Athénée in Geneva, in Kanazawa (Japan), at the International Chopin Festival in Warsaw, in Brussels, Madrid, Dublin and Galway, and at the Delft Chamber Music Festival. She is a regular guest at the International Lied Festival in Zeist.
