ラナ・コス(ソプラノ )
クロアチア出身のソプラノ歌手。ステージでの圧倒的な存在感や自然な美しさに加えて、易々と3オクターブに達するその豊かで力強い声によって、キャリアの早い段階から名をあげた。

2023/24年シーズンは、トリエステのヴェルディ劇場とボローニャ市立劇場でマノン・レスコーにデビュー、続いてエアフルトでトスカ、マッシモ・ベッリーニ劇場で《オテロ》デズデーモナを演じた。
22/23年シーズンは、ジャパン・オペラ・フェスティヴァルで《イル・トロヴァトーレ》、マヨルカのテアトロ・プリンシパルで《椿姫》、タオルミーナ国際音楽祭で《トゥーランドット》リューに出演した他、喜歌劇《こうもり》ロザリンデとプッチーニ《トスカ》タイトルロールに役デビューした。
06年、ミュンヘンのバイエルン国立歌劇場史上最年少のソリストに指名され、4年間の契約を受けた。その間、多様な言語で様々な役を引き受け、国際的に著名な指揮者とも共演した。例えば、キリル・ペトレンコ、ダニエレ・ガッティ、ケント・ナガノ、マルコ・アルミリアート、ニコラ・ルイゾッティ、ジェームズ・コンロン、ファビオ・ルイージ、ダニエル・オーレン等である。

Ever since making her stage debut at only 17-year-old as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, she has become a frequent guest of numerous opera houses across the globe, such as Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Petruzzeli di Bari, Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, Municipal Theatre of São Paulo in Brazil, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Guangzhou Opera House, and Festivals as the Arena di Verona, Torre del Lago, Savonlinna Festival (Finland), Macao International Music Festival.
The 2023-2024 season debuted for Kos with Manon Lescaut at Teatro Verdi in Trieste and at Teatro Comunale in Bologna, followed by Tosca in Erfurt and Desdemona (Otello) at the Teatro Massimo Bellini.

Kos was appointed as the youngest soloist in the history of the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich when he was given a four-year contract in 2006. Upon her arrival, she took on various roles in multiple languages and had the chance to collaborate with internationally recognised conductors like Kirill Petrenko, Danielle Gatti, Kent Nagano, Marco Armiliato, Nicola Luisotti, James Conlon, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Oren, to name only a few.
The turning point of her career was her debut at the Arena di Verona as Violetta in La Traviata under the baton of M°Carlo Rizzi, and later, under the baton of M° Andrea Battistoni, in the production of Hugo de Ana.
Some of her signature leading roles are Violetta in La Traviata, Alice in Falstaff, Mimì in La Boheme, the title roles of Romeo et Juliette, Lucia di Lammermoor, Luisa Miller, Magda (La Rondine), and further on in her career, with the development of her voice, Manon Lescaut, Micaela (Carmen), Desdemona (Otello), Leonora (Il Trovatore), Liù (Turandot), Tatjana (Eugen Onegin). Future debuts in the title role of Rusalka and as Nedda (I Pagliacci) will come in the next seasons.
