Hendrik Arns (born 1996) studied economics, directing, applied theater science and fine arts in Berlin, London, Gießen and Düsseldorf. He was assistant to Harry Kupfer (e.g. Fidelio, Macbeth, Tristan and Isolde; Staatsoper Berlin and Poros; Komische Oper Berlin) and has assisted Valentin Schwarz (Der Ring des Nibelungen; Bayreuther Festspiele) yearly since 2020 as well as Katharina Wagner (Lohengrin for Kids, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg for Kids and Tristan und Isolde for Kids; Tokyo Spring Festival) since 2022. He has been awarded the Deutschlandstipendium and DAAD scholarships several times.

Hendrik is currently studying Free Fine Arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule in Frankfurt and is concentrating on the materialization of text/language. His work has been shown at Theater Erfurt, Kühlhaus Berlin, Museum für Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt, Hopscotch Reading Room, amongst others. Hendrik’s next performance, körper als praxis, will premiere in summer 2024 at Theater Erfurt and his first publication, the endurance poem die4me, will be published by Passagen Verlag in late 2024.
