Dovlet Nurgeldiyev(Tenor)
German-Turkmenian tenor Dovlet Nurgeldiyev has emerged as one of the most remarkable lyric tenor voices. After completing his studies in Turkmenistan and at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, he launched his international career at the Hamburg State Opera. His debut as Fenton in Verdi’s Falstaff was highly acclaimed, followed by his debuts as Alfredo in La Traviata, Nemorino in L’elisir d’Amore, Macduff in Macbeth, and Ismaele in Nabucco. Nurgeldiyev’s repertoire further spans Cassio in Otello, Vladimir in Prince Igor, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Steuermann in Der fliegende Holländer, David in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and others.

In the 2024/25 season, Dovlet Nurgeldiyev will sing Grigory (the False Dimitri) in Mussorgky’s Boris Godunov, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Ferrando in Così fan tutte at the Hamburg State Opera and appear in gala concerts in Malmö with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, as well as in Arthur Honegger’s Le Roi David with the Prague Philharmonic.
In the 2023/24 season, Dovlet Nurgeldiyev sang Alfredo at Irish National Opera in Dublin, Alfred in Die Fledermaus at Auditorium de Lyon, Belmonte at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. In concert, he sang Frère Massée in Saint François d’Assise, Shostakovich’s Thirteenth Symphony, and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with Kent Nagano at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on a Spanish tour with Orchestre National de Lyon.
Recent highlights include the title role in La Clemenza di Tito at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Belfiore in La Finta Giardiniera and Don Ottavio with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin. Further engagements include Medoro in Orlando Paladino, Alfredo in La Traviata, and Alfred in Die Fledermaus at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, as well as Ismaele in Nabucco at Opernhaus Zürich, Nemorino at Opéra de Lausanne, Lensky and Stabat Mater at Opéra de Montpellier, Ferrando at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and his American debut as Lensky at Santa Fe Opera.
