Christian Elsner(Tenor)
Born in Freiburg, Christian Elsner is one of the most versatile German tenors. He studied singing with Martin Gründler, took lessons with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Neil Semer, and has won many international competitions.

また、ゲロルト・フーバーやブルクハルト・ケーリングの伴奏を得て、フランクフルト、ハンブルク、ボン、ドレスデン、ミュンヘン、ヴュルツブルク、ブリュッセル、フェルトキルヒのシューベルティアーデで、リサイタルを行なっている。
CDでは、シューベルト《冬の旅》、シューマン《詩人の恋》、スタジオ制作のマーラー《大地の歌》に加え、ワーグナー《ラインの黄金》ローゲ、《パルジファル》タイトルロール、フンパーディンク《ヘンゼルとグレーテル》魔女等、全幕収録の録音を聴くことができる。また、子どものための本『レニーとニーベルングの指環』も執筆しており、2006年からはヴュルツブルク音楽大学の声楽科教授として、教鞭を執っている。
最近の活動としては、マドリードのテアトロ・レアルでセミヨン・ビシュコフ指揮によるワーグナー《パルジファル》タイトルロール、ウィーンでマンフレート・ホーネック指揮ウィーン交響楽団によるフランツ・シュミット《7つの封印の書》、ライプツィヒでヘルベルト・ブロムシュテット指揮ゲヴァントハウス管弦楽団によるベートーヴェン「交響曲第9番」のほか、サー・サイモン・ラトル指揮ベルリン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団と、ベルリン、ウィーン、ニューヨーク、台北、東京をまわった。また、バーゼルとドルナッハで演奏会形式のワーグナー《パルジファル》、ドレスデンでウェーバー《オイリアンテ》、バーリでワーグナー《ワルキューレ》にも出演した。
