“Spring Festival in Tokyo 2021” Program Revealed
"SPRING FESTIVAL IN TOKYO" is delighted to announce its 2021 program which runs from March 19th (Friday) to April 23rd (Friday), 2021 at various venues in Ueno, Tokyo.
The 17th music festival program are comprised of wide range of concerts such as opera, orchestra, and chamber music by top international artists.
In response to the current new coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, in order to deliver music under any type of circumstances, the Festival will be live streaming all programs for the first time of its history (*exclude Italian Opera Academy in Tokyo lectures / viewing fee required）.
Festival highlights include: Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Tokyo vol.2 "Macbeth" and Tokyo-HARUSAI Wagner Series vol.12 "Parsifal" and more quality line-up, including those programs that were postponed from 2020.
❶The Festival will be live streaming all programs for the first time of its history (*exclude Italian Opera Academy in Tokyo lectures / viewing fee required）.
❷A wide range of concerts such as opera, orchestra, and chamber music by top international artists.
❸Full of unique series concerts: Lieder Series, Choral Works Series, and the series focused on composer’s works such as Bach, Stravinsky, Britten, Discovery Series, and Marathon Concert.
❹Museum Concerts: ARTS MEET MUSIC
The Festival holds chamber music concerts in museums in Ueno Park, known for its historical and artistic role in Japan. Surrounded by fine arts and historical artifacts, the audience can enjoy live performances closer to musicians, and can experience music in a different atmosphere than in concert hall.
❺A fantastic program of event for children “Tokyo-HARUSAI for Kids” and the Festival's popular series of FREE mini concerts "Concerts in Harmony with Cherry Blossoms" will be held.
The 2021 Festival will be one rich in quality and diversity, surely to celebrate the arrival of spring.

The ticket will be sold accordingly starting from January 11th 2021.
Please note that on sale information and details on how to watch for our live streaming will be announced around February 2021.

※In accordance to Japanese Government's announcement of the state of emergency, we will postpone the sale of all tickets for the "Spring Festival in Tokyo 2021" which was scheduled to be sold from January 11th 2021. The new ticket release schedule will be announced on our website and SNS in February.
