“Die Fledermaus” Announcement of cast change

We would like to announce a change in the cast of “Die Fledermaus” scheduled for performances on April 18 (Fri.) and 20 (Sun.).

Valentina Naforniţa, who was originally scheduled to play the role of Rosalinde (soprano) is unable to appear due to her pregnancy and has been advised from a doctor to avoid long distance travel.
Instead, Anita Hartig will perform the role.

We sincerely apologize for this change.
Thank you for your kind understanding.

Spring Festival in Tokyo Executive Committee

Message from Valentina Naforniţa
My dear friends and supporters, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I will no longer be singing Rosalinde in Tokyo in the coming weeks.
This is a decision that I have given a great deal of thought to but, unfortunately, my doctors have advised that long distance travel is not wise at this point in the pregnancy and - for the sake of myself and both my babies - I am taking their advice.
As many of you will know, pregnancy is a huge challenge for any body, and especially as an opera singer. I worked throughout my entire pregnancy with Leo and it was possible. Now, with two precious gifts growing inside me, the demands on my body are more than I could ever imagine, and it is so important that I listen to those around who know what is best to ensure that the three of us stay healthy and safe for the coming months.
Of course, I am deeply disappointed that I cannot travel to my beloved Japan to sing Rosalinde - I have been preparing for months and was looking forward to it so much. I trust, though, that the universe will present an opportunity to return in the future, and I cannot wait for that day.
Thank you for your unending love and support, and for your kindness in understanding this difficult decision.
With love, always.

Valentina Naforniţa
